Profumum Roma

Profumum Roma is the story of the Durante family, whose roots lie in the small mountain village of Sant’Elena in the Italian region of Molise. After the Second World War, Celestino Durante and his wife Luisa left their birthplace to build a new life in Rome. What began with sharpening knives and scissors grew, thanks to Celestino’s curiosity and craftsmanship, into a successful perfumery. Years later, their children Giuseppe, Luciano, Maria and Felice decided to follow their own path. In 1996, they founded Profumum Roma, driven by the desire to create perfumes without the constraints of the traditional fragrance industry. Each scent reflects a personal memory, an emotion or a piece of family history, and pays tribute to the journey that began in Sant’Elena.

Profumum Roma sees perfume as an alchemy of memories, with each creation telling a story that connects generations. The collection was born from complete creative freedom and the conviction that, above all, a perfume should evoke emotion. The scents carry the warmth of Italy within them and invite you to relive memories or create new ones. Each bottle symbolises a small part of the Durante family’s journey: from the bronze statue of the knife sharpener in Sant’Elena to an independent Italian perfume house that remains true to its origins, its family and its passion for fragrance.
