The brand was created in 2004 to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Hotel Le Sirenuse, the iconic family hotel in Positano on the Amalfi Coast. The perfume house was founded by Marina Sersale, a scion of the family behind Le Sirenuse, and Sebastián Alvarez Murena, who together wanted to translate the atmosphere, beauty and lifestyle of Italy into fragrance. Their first creation, originally developed as the hotel's signature scent, quickly grew into a beloved classic and marked the beginning of a complete collection of exclusive perfumes and body care products. The brand's history is inextricably linked to Le Sirenuse, an eighteenth-century palazzo that has been known since 1951 for its exceptional hospitality, art collection, and unique location above the Mediterranean Sea.
