Houbigant Paris

The brand is one of the oldest perfume houses in the world, making history since 1775. What began with a basket of flowers grew into a Maison that profoundly influenced the development of modern perfumery. Throughout the centuries, Houbigant supplied perfumes to numerous European royal courts, including Napoleon Bonaparte, Queen Victoria of England, the Russian tsars, and various royal houses in Europe. In addition, the house introduced groundbreaking creations that still form the basis of contemporary perfumery. For example, in 1882, Paul Parquet created Fougère Royale, the very first fougère perfume, followed in 1912 by Quelques Fleurs, the first true multi-floral fragrance in perfume history.

Innovation, craftsmanship, and artistic freedom have been at the core of Houbigant for over two and a half centuries. The house played a pioneering role in the use of new fragrance molecules, including coumarin, and developed compositions that have inspired generations of perfumers. Since 2005, the historical heritage has been continued with great dedication by the Perris family, who have restored the Maison to its rightful place within the world of high-end perfumery. Today, Houbigant remains true to its rich history, with timeless fragrances that combine tradition, exceptional raw materials, and over 250 years of French perfume craftsmanship.
