Caudalie
Caudalie was born in 1995 from a remarkable encounter between Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas and Professor Joseph Vercauteren of the University of Bordeaux. During the grape harvest at Château Smith Haut Lafitte, they discovered the exceptional power of polyphenols from grape seeds, powerful antioxidants that formed the basis for a whole new generation of skincare. Since then, Caudalie has combined the richness of the vine with cutting-edge scientific research to develop effective skincare products of natural origin. Over the years, the French house introduced groundbreaking ingredients such as Resveratrol and Viniferine, both patented and globally renowned for their effects on skin aging and hyperpigmentation. From the same vision, the Vinothérapie™ Spas were also created, where the power of the grape and mineral-rich spring water come together in unique skincare rituals.
Respect for people and nature has been at the core of Caudalie since its inception. The brand develops clean formulas with a high percentage of ingredients of natural origin and continuously invests in more sustainable packaging, responsibly sourced raw materials, and environmental projects worldwide.
As a member of 1% for the Planet, Caudalie actively contributes to reforestation projects and the protection of biodiversity, while collaborations with leading researchers, including Harvard Medical School, continue to drive new innovations in skincare. In this way, Caudalie remains true to its original mission: translating the power of the vine into effective care, with respect for nature and attention to future generations.
