L'Heure Bleue EDP

L’Heure Bleue by Guerlain captures the enchanting moment when day slowly turns into night and the sky takes on a deep blue hue. A brief instant when time seems to stand still and everything feels possible. Inspired by Jacques Guerlain’s legendary L’Heure Bleue from 1912, perfumer Delphine Jelk gives this iconic creation a new expression, with iris as its radiant centerpiece.

The eau de parfum opens bright and airy with an ozonic accord, pear, and neroli, like the fresh air at the beginning of the evening. At its heart unfolds a special iris tincture developed by Guerlain specifically for L’Heure Bleue. Together with precious iris butter and jasmine, the iris takes on a velvety, botanical, and lightly woody character. Vanilla, ambroxan, and musk then bring warmth and softness to the base, creating Guerlainade’s characteristic amber-like trail.

Iris is not called ‘blue gold’ in perfumery for nothing. For L’Heure Bleue, Guerlain developed its own tincture to highlight the different facets of this exceptional raw material. The interplay between cool, airy freshness and warm vanilla makes the fragrance soft, powerful, and enveloping all at once.
