Caudalie founder Mathilde Thomas first became aware of the skincare benefits found in the bi-products of the wine industry in 1993. When Professor Joseph Vercauteren explained that her family-owned vineyards were “throwing away treasures”, Mathilde became determined to harness the powerful benefits of grape-seed polyphenols. Two years later, she founded Caudalie. The brand is still upheld by the three original patents of antioxidant polyphenol, anti-ageing resveratrol and brightening viniferine, and now offers youth-preserving skincare ranges for every stage of the ageing process.
