In 1681, once the reconstruction of the Charterhouse was complete, the monks of Capri began to prepare the first perfume essences based on local herbs and spices.\nFrom the first scented “head” notes released from the Mandarin, Bergamot and Rosemary, to the “central” notes of Lavender and Black Pepper and the more persistent “base” tones of Incense and Cedar Wood, all blend together to create the fascination of a distinctly noble perfume of great character.\nHead: Mandarin, Bergamot, Coriander, Oil of Red Thyme, Rosemary.\nHeart: Iris (Concentrated Essence of Iris), Neroli, Lavender, Petigrain, Black Pepper.\nBase: Sandal, Cedar Wood, Incense, Amber, Vanilla, Musk.
